12 Days Everest Base Camp Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Flight to Lukla (2,850m/9,350 ft) 40 minutes, Trek to Phakding ( 2650 m/ 8562 ft ) – Walking Distance (6.2km/3.85 miles) – 3 hours.
12 Days Everest Base Camp Trek journey will start after landing at Lukla airport. After that head towards the Phakding which is very exciting as your first-day trek. We have to take an exciting and adventurous forty minutes flight to the Tenzing Hillary Airport at Lukla.
Then we should begin our trek throughout the Chaurikharka village and also it descends to the region of Dudhkoshi Ghat at 2,530m above sea level, the village of Lukla till we reach the destination of Phakding. This is an obvious short and enjoyable form of a trek and also needs acclimatizing to the condition of the weather.
With complete spare time, we may also get a chance to visit some local monasteries around and also help us to prepare ourselves for a long trek the next day. This is what we need to do on our first-day trip.

Day 2: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,285 ft)- Walking Distance (7.4km/4.6 miles) – 6 hours.
Then our trek continues along the bank of the northern of th4e Dudh Koshi River with a wonderful and majestic view that shows the view around. Then we have to cross many suspension bridges over the height of Dudh Koshi River that also include the Hillary Suspension Bridge on the way.
By following this trail we will be arriving at the Sagarmatha National Park check post. This is the point where we get permits to be registered. After that, we head towards the dense lush forests which are a bit challenging for the trekkers.
In the same way, when you trek further, we will finally reach Namche Bazaar which is also known as a gateway to Everest by crossing stones and woods over the slopes.

Day 3: Rest day and Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar
This is the day third so you will get to acclimatize here today. We will recommend trekkers explore and experience Namche Bazar. This town will comprise a restaurant with Wi-Fi, numerous cafes, trekking gear shops, many souvenirs, etc.
In addition, there is also an optional point from where you can hike to visit Sagarmatha National park visitor center destination with a beautiful hike to Khumjung. If you want some spices during the period of acclimatization then you must visit Hillary school and old historical monasteries that come en route to Khumjung and hike to the region of Khuda.
There you can even get to see the Sherpa community or settlement which takes almost one hour away from Namche to see amazing sherpa culture. Day 4: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,855m/12,850ft)-Walking Distance (9.2km/5.72 miles) – 5 hours.
The region of Tengboche is definitely a place with handcrafted natural beauty. You can enjoy the stunning views of the most beautiful Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, and Lhoste on the route to Tengboche. This trail is completely snake-shaped so it will be difficult but even we get a view of massive peaks.
At the same time you will be spotted with Wildlife like a pheasant, Himilayan Tahr, musk deer, etc, and home and home to many wild birds. On further going down to cross Dudh Koshi that passes through the lush green jungle, and alpine forests. This is how we will be moved to the destination of a small village known as Phunki Thenga.

On day fifth, you will be heading towards the upper trail that leads to the destination of Pangboche village. There you should be passing many chortens, tiny villages, and mani walls on our trail. There you can even see magical peaks Ama Dablam over this region.
After this, you have to go further which is less hard as you move to the Imja valley by the Lobuche River. You need to descend from here so that you can go through the steepest climbing towards the region of Dingboche. When we reach Dingboche we will be seeing beautiful crop fields surrounded by stone, walls that help for protecting crops like Buckwheat, potatoes, and barley by local natives.

Day 6: Rest day and Acclimatization at Dingboche Another scheduled

This is an important day, we will head to Everest Base Camp in the early morning with a lot of excitement. This region can be trekked throughout the lateral moraine of the Khumbu glacier. By this, you will arrive at the Gorakh Shep where you can witness the snow-capped Himalayas looming around us.

The ninth day of the trip is the climax. We will get to the Kala Patthar at dawn early in the morning to witness the sunrise on the highest peak of Mount Everest and other stunning mountains.

Today is the final day of our trip, we will head back to Lukla from Namche Bazar. This is how we will go back to Dudh Kosi valley from the direction, with views that will be entirely different. We have to stay overnight in Lukla and head back to Kathmandu by taking a flight the next day.

Day 12: Fly back to Kathmandu
