Bhutan tour is considered as the best tour in the world. Bhutan, also known as the last Shangri La, is one of the most touristic countries in Southeastern Asia. With many famous Buddhist monasteries and best conserved natural beauty, the country has been the hotspot for tourists throughout the years. The blend of ancient cultural glory and the glorious Himalayas add up to make a memorable affair. The Bhutan Tour takes less than a week and takes you to all the must-see places in Bhutan.
The 5-day tour of Bhutan commences from Paro where you visit the revered Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger’s Nest, located at the side of a steep cliff at an altitude of 2,950 meters.
After the visit, you hike down to Paro and sightsee two landmarks i.e. Rinpung Dzong and the National Museum of Bhutan. Then, you head to the capital city- Thimpu on the second day. At Thimpu, you will learn more about folk history at Folk Heritage Museum and proceed to Tashichho Dzong. The sightseeing tour at Thimpu ends at the Memorial Chorten. Then, you visit the last stop of the tour, Punakha.
The Punakha Dzong holds years and years of Bhutanese history and culture so, it will be the first place you visit. Then, you visit another equally important landmark, Chimi Lhakhang. After the excursion in Punakha is complete, you head back to Paro. En route, you can stop at local markets to buy souvenirs.
The country welcomes you all year round but if you want to get the best views and experience, spring (March-May) season is the perfect time to come. The weather can get irregular at times so, it is recommended to carry warm clothes. Since it is a Buddhist country, there are certain norms and values that the travelers should abide by.
