One can also find tourist buses and taxis, but they will cost significantly more compared to the price of the local buses. 

Nagarkot is known for its excellent views of the mountains in the Mahalangur, Jugal, Langtang, and Shishapangma ranges. The local view tower is a popular tourist destination in Nagarkot which offers a beautiful view of the sunrise and sunset. On a clear day, the views even incorporate the Mt. Everest (8848 m) itself. The view tower is a popular hiking destination as well which can be completed in one hour. It is a fairly easy hike and is suitable for children and beginners. Sarangkot

Located 7 kilometers west of Pokhara at an altitude of over 1592 meters, Sarangkot is a hub for nature lovers and is fairly easy to get to. One can reach Pokhara from Kathmandu by land or by air. Once in Pokhara, travelers can head to Sarangkot by bus, taxi, or car. For the more adventurous souls, you can hike to Sarangkot on foot which offers wonderful views of the surrounding landscapes. The hike takes much longer than traveling via any of the transportation mediums. 

Sarangkot flaunts a marvelous view of sunrises and sunsets, the Pokhara valley, and many mountains in Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Additionally, you can also enjoy the views of Mt. Machhapuchhre (6997 m) and Lamjung Himal (6983 m). Moreover, Sarangkot is also known for adventure sports like paragliding and zip-lining. Poon Hill

Located 3210 meters above sea level, Poonhill is a bit more challenging to get to. First, travelers need to reach Pokhara from Kathmandu. From there, you will drive to Nayapul and start the trek. After this, trekkers will have to continue on foot to Tikhedhunga from where the journey will have to continue to Ghorepani Poon Hill. The trek continues through the forested trails through the rhododendron trees whilst playing hide and seek with the Himalayas in the Annapurna range. Finally, Poonhill lies a short hike away from Ghorepani.

Poonhill rewards the trekkers with a 360-degree view of over the Annapurna range and the Dhaulagiri range. One can easily imagine the beauty of the sunrise from Poonhill in the backdrop of the Mt. Machhapuchhre (6997 m). The warm company of the Gurung locals allows you to relish the trip even more. 

Kalapatthar

Kalapatthar is a natural landmark located near the Everest Base Camp at an altitude of 5545 meters. It is one of the famous destinations in the Everest region and sees hundreds of travelers every year. Trekkers visit Kalapatthar to bask in the gorgeous views of the Mt. Everest (8848 m) and Khumbu Glacier among others. As such, Kalapatthar is accessible via a long and fairly difficult trek. In most occasions, trekkers fly to Lukla from Kathmandu. Alternatively, you can also drive to Jiri and trek across the Rolwaling region to reach Lukla. After arriving at Lukla, trekkers make their way to Namche Bazaar. Trekking past Tengboche, you also go through villages like Lobuche and Gorakshep. Finally, you will make their way up to Kalapatthar to enjoy the spectacular view.

Gokyo Ri

Located at an altitude of 5360 meters, Gokyo Ri is a short hike away from the Gokyo village. It is located in the Khumbu region of Nepal and offers a remarkable view of mountains like the Mt. Everest (8848 m), Lhotse (8516 m), Makalu (8485 m); and Cho Oyu (8201 m). The trek to Gokyo Ri allows trekkers to experience the beauty of the Everest region along with the Sherpa culture and practices. To reach this scenic destination, one needs to reach Lukla and head north to Namche Bazaar. Next, you deviate from the Everest Base Camp trail and trek to Gokyo valley which will welcome you with its shimmering glacial lakes. 

The trek to Gokyo Ri from here is relatively short and usually takes about 5-6 hours to complete. While the trek is challenging, it is also very rewarding. It gives you a chance to experience a remote way of life and, along with a picturesque view of the lakes and mountains. The view of Mt.
