Trek to Everest Base Camp is a dream of so many people. It is also an adventure and a feeling that can’t be explained in words. But before you join this journey, you must know the most vital things to reach the top of the base camp. Looking for the best items to carry on your trek to base camp? This list will help you choose the right gear.

Clothing

Trekking in the Everest region commences at an altitude of 2860m and ranges up to 5380m. Dressing is the compulsory thing you need for trekking. This is a way in which a person or trekker adds or removes all types of your clothing according to your wish.

The base layer of the dress is important when you reach the highest elevation during the trek. At the highest point, it will tend to be the coldest region. This is the layer of clothes you will not be wearing during the initial phase or the ending phase during the trek.

The base layer in your body should be comfortable and fitting. The second layer of the clothes should be worn outside the base layer. This is also known as the insulation layer. In the same way, you should also carry a fleece for the second layer. These clothes are soft ones and will help you to keep warm. The insulation is the layer that is also available for every lower and upper part of your body.

General Trekking Wear

The followings are also essential in addition to the three layers:

  • Trousers and shorts
  • Nylon or polyester shirts
  • Waterproof shell jacket and trousers
  • Underwears for women as well as men.
  • Sports bras for women.

Headwear

Keep in mind that you should not take heavy kinds of boots. During trekking, you should always maintain the minimum number of days, such as nine days. So we cannot recommend your heavy boots for the trekking activities.

Trekking Shoes

These kinds of trekking shoes do not apply to the Everest region trek. This type of trekking shoe is only for strolling at the lodges and teahouses areas. It also helps in exploring the places near the lodges or teahouses. These shoes should be recommended as light and more comfortable for walking.

Sandals

You can also take sandals as it is necessary if you are resting at the teahouses and can be used for bathroom purposes.

Socks

Another important thing about wearing is socks. We recommend you to take two types of shocks for the trekking activities. Those of the socks are mentioned below.

  • Four pairs of good hiking socks generally keep the moisture away.
  • Four pairs of thermal socks for higher altitudes to keep your feet warm.

Bags

You may be worrying about the bag that should be the best for a trek; then, many bags suit the trek. There are also important things to put down many kinds of stuff like gear and clothing. Always carry a good bag that will help us by having enough space to fill up all the areas with the related property. You can also take many types of bags for the trek. Sleeping Gear

Sleeping Bag

While moving towards the destination, you should stay at the teahouses. Then you will be provided a blanket and mattress for sleeping purposes. In the same way, these things may not be enough for you to sleep. So if you take one sleeping bag with you, it will be much better for sleeping comfortably.

This is quite a good recommendation to be safe from the cold at midnight and morning. Having one sleeping bag with a hood will be much better and helpful in providing extra warmth.

The effect of UV rays is excellent at high elevations. That is why the following items are essential:
