Itinerary Summary : Manaslu Circuit Trek

Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m)

After landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, one of our staff members will receive you and lead you along the busy roads of Kathmandu. Upon reaching your hotel and freshening up, you can explore the nearby locales and enjoy the Newari ambiance in the valley. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 02 : Restricted Area Permit procedure

For Manaslu Circuit Trek, you need to fill up a specific form to get the restricted area permit. After the necessary document briefing, you will finally get a permit. If you have enough time, you can also visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the evening, trying authentic Nepali dishes would be an ideal choice. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 03 : Drive from Kathmandu to Arughat Bazar (608m) and trek to Soti Khola (700m)

Today you’ll be driving towards Arughat Bazaar along the Prithvi Highway. Enjoying a beautiful view of green hills and surroundings, you’ll reach Dhadingbensi. From here, following the rusty and twisted road, you’ll drive towards Arughat Bazaar from where our real trekking begins. Walking through the forested area and enjoying far-ahead views of the Ganesh Himal ranges, you’ll finally reach Soti Khola. Overnight stay in Soti Khola.

Day 04 : Trek from Soti Khola to Machha Khola (869m)

From Soti Khola, you’ll ascend to the top of the ridge through the forest of Sal and Pine. Along with Budhi Gandaki River, you’ll cross rocky paths and beautiful waterfalls until you reach Khursane. Moving forward, you’ll get glorious views of the Mansiri Himalayan ranges. Finally, you’ll reach Machha Khola via Gurung village of Lapubesi. Overnight in Machha Khola.

Day 05 : Trek from Machha Khola to Jagat (1300m)

Today, you’ll continue your trek towards Machha Khola. In the early first hour, you’ll ascend through the ascending landscapes crossing suspension bridges and beautiful waterfalls and reach Khorlabensi. From here, you’ll march towards Tatopani. You can take a break to take a dip in the natural hot springs at Tatopani. Alongside the Budhi Gandaki River, you’ll walk past small forested area and farmlands to reach Dobhan. Finally, you’ll reach beautiful village of Jagat crossing Yaru Khola. Overnight in Jagat.

Day 06 : Trek from Jagat to Deng (1860m)

Staring your walk early in the morning, you’ll ascend through the hillside before reaching Salleri. The trail now passes through small Gurung village of Philim and proceeds towards Ekle Bhatti. Alongside the river bank, you’ll cross some grasslands and narrow paths. Finally, walking past the beautiful woodland of Bamboo and Pine, you’ll reach Deng. Overnight in Deng.

Day 07 : Trek from Deng to Namrung (2630m)

After breakfast, you’ll ascend towards Rana crossing Budi Gandaki River. The trail now passes through Bihi and proceeds towards Ghap. Along the way, you’ll trek through the lush forest of pine and rhododendron crossing Main walls carved with Buddhist Mantra. Along with a stunning view of snow-capped mountains, you’ll finally reach Namrung crossing suspension bridges and beautiful waterfalls. Overnight in Namrung.

Day 08 : Trek from Namrung to Sama Gaon (3320m)

As you leave behind beautiful village of Namrung, glorious views of Himalchuli (7893m) and Manaslu ranges appear at the distance. In the early first hours, you’ll trek passing through the settlements of Lihi and Sho. After a short break at Sho, you’ll climb uphill towards Shyala. Along the way, you’ll also get an opportunity to explore the Tibetan Buddhist culture and tradition. Finally, after a walk of about six to seven hours you’ll reach Sama Gaon crossing several river streams. Overnight in Sama Gaon.

Day 09 : Hike to Manaslu Base Camp (4400m)

Today, you’ll be hiking towards Manaslu Base Camp (4400m). Early in the morning, you’ll start your hike through the rocky steps, narrow stone paths, and sparsely forested area. The trail passes through the snow-covered terraces and glaciers. Enjoying beautiful views of the surroundings, you’ll finally reach Manaslu Base Camp. Once at the top, you’ll get a panoramic view of Manaslu (8163m), Himlung (7126m), Cheo (6812m), Annapurna II (7937m), Himalchuli (7893m), and many other snow-capped mountains. With a content heart, you’ll now return to Sama Gaon. Overnight in Sama Gaon.

Day 10 : Trek from Sama Gaon to Samdo (3690m)

Following the windy and dry paths, you’ll ascend towards Kermo Kharka crossing the forest of pine and juniper. From here, you’ll take a steep climb to the top of the ridge to the flat valley which finally leads the way towards Samdo. The trek is filled with enticing scenery of mountain vistas including peaks like Naike Peak (6211m) and Manaslu North (7157m). Samdo, a former Tibetan Refugee Camp, offers stunning views of the Manaslu Glacier and Icefall. Overnight in Samdo.

Day 11 : Trek from Samdo to Dharamsala (4460m)

Leaving Samdo behind, you’ll continue you walk towards Dharamsala. Alongside the bank of Budi Gandaki River, you’ll ascend until you arrive at the Taka Choeling Gompa. From here, you’ll cross few suspension bridges and beautiful waterfalls to reach Larkya Bazaar. Walking past the green grasslands along with glorious views of the Manaslu Himalayas, you’ll reach Dharamsala. Overnight stay in Dharamsala.

Day 12 : Trek from Dharamsala to Bimthang (3590m) via Larkya La Pass (5160m)

From Dharamsala, you’ll climb uphill towards large glaciers. After a steep climb to the top of the ridge, you’ll reach Larkya La Pass at 5160m from where you’ll get a breathtaking view of a panorama of Himalayas. Himlung (7126m), Annapurna II (7937m), Kang Guru (6981m), Manaslu (8163m), and Cheo Himal (6812m) and other snow-capped mountains adorn the skyline as you relish the blissful moment atop the pass. Descending downhill from the top through large pastures paves the way towards Bimthang. Overnight in Bimthang.

Day 13 : Trek from Bimthang to Tilije (2300m)

Early in the morning, you’ll start your trek towards the settlement of Tilije. Crossing rocky moraines, you’ll get a stunning view of Cheo Himal (6812m) as you trek along the ridge of the Tiblike Panlemu Danda. Moving forward, you’ll reach Kharche and walk past the forest of oak and rhododendron. Thereon, a gradual descent will bring you to the village of Tilije. Overnight stay in Tilije.

Day 14 : Trek from Tilije to Tal (1680m)

From Tilije, you continue your walk along the bank of Dudh Khola. After crossing suspension bridge over Marshyangdi River, you’ll reach beautiful settlement of Dharapani. From here, you’ll trek through Annapurna Circuit trail and slowly leave behind peaceful Manaslu region. Finally, walking past the narrow steps, long terraces and farmlands, you’ll reach Tal. Overnight in Tal.

Day 15 : Trek from Tal to Syange (1150m)

The trail takes you through the windy path and narrow landscapes. On the way forward, you’ll continue your walk through the trails of Marshyangdi Valley. The natural diversity and the warm hospitality of Gurung and Magar people along the way gives you immense joy and happiness. Finally, crossing several farm villages, you’ll reach Syange. Overnight stay in Syange.

Day 16 : Drive from Syange to Kathmandu by private vehicle

Today, you’ll drive back to Kathmandu from Syange. The drive will take you through the beautiful green forest, valleys, and farmlands. Crossing Besisahar, you’ll continue your drive towards Dumre. From here, you’ll drive past small town of Muglin via Prithvi Highway. After a quick lunch at Malekhu, you’ll march towards Kathmandu enjoying a distant view of Himalayas along with Trishuli River flowing on the edge. Once at Kathmandu, you can also roam around Thamel area and buy souvenir if you have enough time. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 17 : Departure from Kathmandu

Today is your last day in Nepal. We’ll drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport two hours prior to your scheduled flight. You can even share your experience with us on the way to airport. Goodbye!
