Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of the most adventurous trekking destinations perfect for dramatic views of the Himalayas. The wilderness of lush vegetation and natural flora and fauna of this region is simply marvelous.
Along with a stunning view of Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna III (7555m), Chulu Peak (6584m), Manaslu (8163m), and Dhaulagiri range, you’ll get an opportunity to observe the unique culture and tradition of Tibetan and Gurung communities. The trek even enters the southern realm beneath the Annapurna Himalayas and heads to the Poonhill viewpoint.
After landing at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), you’ll be immediately transferred to your respective hotel. The second day is scheduled for sightseeing and trek preparation.
On this day, you gather your essentials for the trek and also explore the UNESCO world heritage sites in the valley. On the 3rd day, you’ll take a scenic drive to Syange from Kathmandu.
Along the way, you’ll cross small towns of Dumre and Besisahar. The trail passes through the settlement of Jagat and proceeds towards Dharapani. Similarly, crossing the settlement of Chame, Pisang, Manang, and Yak Kharka, you’ll take a steep climb to the top of the ridge which finally leads the way towards Thorang La High Camp. From here, you’ll continue your journey towards Thorang La Pass (5416m), one of the biggest passes in Nepal.
The pass offers panoramic views of the mountains in the Annapurna, Nilgiri, and Muktinath Himal ranges. Descending along the rocky trail, you arrive at the Muktinath Temple, a revered pilgrimage site among Hindu and Buddhists.
Moving forward, you’ll now trek towards Tatopani via Marpha and Kalopani. You’ll now descend to Ghorepani and hike to Poon Hill where beautiful sunrise views over the Annapurna massif and Machhapuchhre (6993m) grace the skyline. Finally, you’ll drive back to Pokhara via Nayapul. Autumn and spring are the best seasons for Annapurna Circuit Trek.
